“Social Cohesion: Migrant’s Contribution”.

The leadership of Nigerian in Diaspora Organisation Europe The Netherlands Chapter (NIDOE-NL) was invited as a guest during the IOM New Year’s Reception on the 13th of February 2020, with the theme of the event centered on “Social Cohesion: Migrant’s Contribution”.

At the sideline of the event, the Connecting Diaspora for Development (CD4D) program phase 2 IOM contact person for the Nigerian community expressed satisfaction with the work NIDOE-NL a Taskforce Member for the CD4D 2 has been doing in seeing that the project has reached the stage it is at the moment, including but not limited to the ideas and suggestions on the 3 key sectors of focus namely Agriculture, Health, ICT.

The overall objective of Connecting Diaspora for Development (CD4D2) is to promote the active role of diaspora in selected sectors and consultations are currently ongoing to identify the host institutions.

In the next coming week(s), The Nigerian community living in the Netherlands specifically with the aforementioned skills and expertise will be informed on the next step as soon as all the host institutions in Nigeria are finally identified.
