Mr. Julius Nnamdi Nwankpa is the current chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization Europe, Netherlands chapter (NIDOE-NL). He is a Certified Expert in SME Finance. He holds the National Diploma (OND) in Accountancy from Yaba College of Technology, Lagos Nigeria. He further has a Bachelor and a Master degree in Accounting & Control from The Hague University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. He is currently studying for a second Master degree in Development Finance at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, Frankfurt Germany.
Mr. Nwankpa is a Project Budget Officer at the United Nations Common Fund for Commodities, an autonomous financial institution established within the framework of the United Nations. The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC), where Mr. Nwankpa works is helping with the development of commodity sector and access to finance. Nigeria is a member state of the CFC and one of the beneficiary countries. The interface Ministry of CFC in Nigeria, is the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
Mr. Nwankpa’s knowledge of the processes and procedures at CFC is of immense importance to Nigerian SMEs interested in seeking international funding assistance for agribusiness and commodities enhancement. Economic developments and sustainability in Nigeria is of his core interest. He has been an active member of the NIDOE-Netherlands since he rejoined the group for the second time towards the end of 2013. He is a member of NIDO Europe BOT. He also participated in the NIDOE committee that planned the NIDO Europe Business Forum as well as the NIDO worldwide self-sponsored 2015 diaspora day in Nigeria. He is also an active member of NIDO-Netherlands Projects committee and also an active member of Abia State Union in the Netherlands.
